Prom Dreams Ministry

Prom 2014 was a great success for our Prom Dreams Ministry!  

We served 29 students from Atoka/Coal counties, collected more beautiful dresses, and gained some volunteers.  As always there were some exciting moments of God’s provision which included us making a plus sized dress the night before prom and a bag of men’s dress pants donated at just the right time with the exact size needed.

Our goal is to help high school students of Atoka and Coal counties to attend prom, homecoming, and other events regardless of the reason for their need.  We have formal dresses, shoes, and accessories for the girls as well as suits and ties for the guys.

Prom Dreams Boutique

Prom Dreams Boutique Prom Dreams Ministry was founded from a desire to help teens who wish to attend Prom but lack the financial resources. This ministry is sponsored by Southside Baptist Church and many others who share our vision.

Our goal is to share God’s love while providing formal clothing to both girls and boys who might not otherwise be able to attend Prom. This ministry is made possible by God through the generous donations from local businesses, individuals in the community, the congregation of Southside Baptist Church, and many others near and far who want to help make prom dreams come true for local teens.

After inception in March 2011, we collected over eighty dresses in just two weeks. Sixteens teens came to us after only three weeks of preparation and planning. With each appointment we found ourselves worried about having the right sizes, but God is amazing and had provided exactly what we needed to send each of these teens to prom! We now have over 125 dresses, and God is truly blessing this ministry and each person involved.
